Norwegian Pilots Reject Latest CHC Offer
CHC Helicopter Corporation advises that CHC pilots represented by the Norwegian Airline Pilots Association (NAPA) have rejected CHC's latest offer and made a decision to begin limited work action commencing today.
The dispute relates only to pay adjustments in respect of the second year (May 1, 2001 - April 30, 2002) of the existing two-year collective agreement.
Work action is limited to a strike by six of the 151 pilots represented by NAPA in Norway, and is not expected to affect CHC's ability to complete its regularly scheduled offshore flights at this time. All 151 pilots are employed by CHC's wholly owned subsidiary, CHC Helikopter Service AS, based in
Stavanger, Norway. On four days notice, NAPA may withdraw additional pilots.
