ENSCO Makes Management Changes
ENSCO International Incorporated announced the formation of a new Office of the President and Chief Operating Officer. Effective January 1, 2002, three Senior Vice Presidents of ENSCO, William S. Chadwick, Jr., C. Christopher Gaut and P. Jeff Saile were appointed to the Office. Prior to their appointment to the Office of the President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Chadwick was Vice President - Administration, Mr. Gaut was Senior Vice President - Finance, and Mr. Saile was Vice President - Operations.
Carl F. Thorne, who formerly held the title of President, will remain Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Richard A. Wilson, who was formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will become Executive Vice President, and function primarily as a senior advisor to the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wilson, age 64, joined the Company in 1988, and was elected Chief Operating Officer in 1991.
Mr. Chadwick, age 54, joined the Company in 1987, was elected Vice President in 1988, and holds a B.S. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Gaut, age 45, joined the Company in 1987, was elected Chief Financial Officer in 1988, and holds a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Saile, age 49, joined the Company in 1987, managed the Company's North American drilling operations before being elected Vice President - Operations, and holds a B.B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi.
