Lundin Drills Second Well on Broom
Lundin Petroleum reports that the second development well in the Phase 2 drilling program on the Broom field complex, offshore UK has commenced.
The development well will be a sidetrack of one of the existing three production wells on the West Heather structure. West Heather continues to produce in excess of 25,000 bopd from the remaining two wells.
The first well in the Phase 2 drilling program was drilled on the North Terrace structure and has been successfully completed and will be tied back to the Heather Alpha platform facility following the completion of the West Heather development well.
The production from both wells is anticipated to come onstream in the fourth quarter 2005.
