Newfield Makes Management Changes
Newfield Exploration Company announced management changes related to the leadership of its operations in the Anadarko Basin and Australia.
Lee Boothby, currently Managing Director - Newfield Exploration Australia Ltd. in Perth, Australia, will be named President of Newfield Mid-Continent Inc. and will relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Boothby joined Newfield in 1999 in his present position. Since that time, he has led the Company's office in Perth, Australia, and has helped Newfield to be recognized as an efficient and effective operator in Australia. Prior to joining Newfield, Boothby was Manager of Acquisitions and Development for Cockrell Oil Corp. Boothby holds a Masters of Business Administration from Rice University and a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
Randy Foutch, a Vice President of Newfield and President of Newfield Mid-Continent Inc., will be leaving the Company effective March 1, 2002. He continues to serve as a member of Newfield's Board of Directors. Foutch was the Founder and President of Lariat Petroleum, acquired by Newfield in January 2001. Since Newfield's acquisition of Lariat, Foutch led the Company's operations in the Mid-Continent.
"When we acquired Lariat last year, Randy promised to stay long enough to prove that the Lariat organization and assets were everything he advertised. He has more than fulfilled that mission," said David A. Trice, Newfield's President & CEO. "We will miss his ideas and energy but I have great confidence in the organization he developed and in Lee Boothby who has done an outstanding job in Australia."
Jim Eisterhold will be named Managing Director - Newfield Exploration Australia Ltd. and will be relocating to Perth, Australia. Eisterhold is currently a production engineer in the Company's Gulf of Mexico, East Division. He has been with Newfield since 1994 and has held increasing roles of responsibility during his tenure. Prior to joining Newfield, Eisterhold was a Production Superintendent with Columbia Gas Development. He holds a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas.
