Integrated Production Services Files Suit Against Mega Lift
Integrated Production Services, Inc. (IPS) has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Mega Lift Systems LLC. Filed through IPS's wholly owned subsidiary MGM Well Services, Inc. (MGM), the lawsuit relates to Mega Lift's infringement of intellectual property covering the company's two-piece Pacemaker plunger lift systems.
IPS believes that aggressive enforcement of intellectual property rights is necessary to maintain an environment that fosters the development of innovative products and services used to enhance the production of oil and gas. IPS has retained Howrey, Simon, Arnold & White L.L.P. as counsel to assist in protecting and enforcing its intellectual property. Through the lawsuit, filed on May 6, 2005 in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas - Houston Division, IPS is pursuing a permanent injunction against Mega Lift and damages.
