Endeavour Names Vice President of Operations

Endeavour International has named Clint D. Smith as vice president of operations for the North Sea-focused exploration and production company.

Smith will be responsible for overseeing the company's operational activities including drilling and completions, development, and production functions, principally in the United Kingdom.

His experience, technical and management capabilities, and excellent reputation will be an important asset to Endeavour as we launch our exploration drilling campaign in the UK, prepare for eventual development activities and give oversight to production operations throughout the North Sea," said Bruce H. Stover, executive vice president operations and business development.

Smith has more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry that includes managing North Sea and European well operations and drilling for Conoco Phillips UK Ltd. and, previously, with Phillips Petroleum Co. UK Ltd. He also served as president of his own consultancy providing project management services for deepwater exploration and development operations and held senior management positions with several independent operators in the Gulf of Mexico. Smith holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University.
