BJ Tubular Services Wins Contract from Reliance Industries
BJ Tubular Services has been awarded a contract by Reliance Industries Limited. The contract calls for the provision of casing and tubing running services, in addition to onshore bucking services.
BJ Tubular Services has been retained by Reliance Industries to service the company's exploration activities located off India's east coast, operating from the Kakinada Shore Base in support of the rig Actinia. BJ has commenced operations on the approximately 12-month Reliance Industries contract, and is currently supporting this contract from Kakinada, with equipment mobilized from BJ from its bases in Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Aberdeen.
To carry out these services, BJ will employ its Series 2000 horizontal bucking unit, and for the first time in India, the new 20" Energised Fill-up and Circulate Tool which provides fast, effective fill-up of casing string while running.
"India is a key market for us, as we expand our services internationally. We have operated in India for four years, and successfully provided our services to a number of key operators in the region," said Kenny Watt, area manager-Middle East for BJ Tubular Services. "It is our hope that we will continue to cultivate a solid relationship with Reliance Industries, and provide them with excellent service," he added.
BJ Tubular Services specializes in personnel and equipment for running casing and tubing, particularly premium connections, high chrome content tubulars, dual, triple and sub-sea completions, as well as hydraulic hammer conductor-driving services.
