Meridian Resource Completes BML Southern Pipeline Extension
The Meridian Resource Corporation has completed its southern production facilities and pipeline tie-ins in the Biloxi Marsh Land ("BML") project area. The southern pipeline extension is a three mile long pipeline connecting the Company's South Apollo prospect to the existing pipeline infrastructure. Concurrent with the completion of the pipeline, the Company has placed its previously announced Cris I RD SUA; LA Prejean No. 1 ("Prejean No. 1") well on sales at an initial daily flow rate of 5.3 million cubic feet of natural gas with no corresponding water production. Flowing tubing pressure was measured at 4,010 psi through a 11.5/64th-inch choke. The Company owns a 92% working interest in the well.
Meridian continues to focus on its exploration and exploitation of
the BML project area in addition to the development of its Weeks
Island field and its other properties which comprise an asset base
consisting of approximately 8,000 square miles of 3-D seismic data.
