|Friday, November 30, 2001
Australian production and exploration company Drillsearch Energy Ltd has been offered three petroleum exploration permits offshore Western Australia. The company, which also operates in Canada and Papua New Guinea, says the adjoining PEPs are all in the Southern Bonaparte Gulf. One block (20SL/00-1) adjoins the permit in which Woodside Petroleum recently announced the discovery of gas at the rate of 31 mmcfd from Blacktip 1. Drillsearch said it was planning an exploration program for the permits.
