Enventure Installs FlexClad System for Pemex

Enventure Global Technology in conjunction with Halliburton Energy Services, recently installed the first Solid Expandable Tubular (SET(TM)) System in Latin America for Pemex Exploration and Production, Mexico's national oil company. Enventure successfully expanded a 270-foot, 4-1/2 in. FlexClad System to isolate perforations in an oil-producing well in the Gulf of Mexico.

"We are pleased that a technology leader such as Pemex recognized the value of SET Technology and was able to successfully apply it to their drilling process," said Robert Hinkel, president and chief executive officer of Enventure. "We look forward to continuing a successful relationship with Pemex and the opportunity to provide more SET Systems to help them realize production goals."

Enventure's FlexClad System adapts SET Technology to high-temperature, high-pressure wells. In addition to its isolation capabilities, this system is used to repair existing casing and provide a gas-tight liner. Expandable sealing sections called flex hangers are separated along the length of the liner using conventional API tubulars and flush joint connections. This configuration of expanding just the flex hangers enables the system to be used in smaller casing sizes.

To date, Enventure has performed 290 installations and expanded more than 61 miles (99 kilometers) of pipe for 67 operators globally. Enventure Global Technology, L.L.C., the world's leading provider of solid expandable tubular solutions holds or has pending over 300 patents for its proprietary systems.
