FPSO Ocean Producer Begins Contract Offshore Angola

Oceaneering International, Inc. announced that the FPSO Ocean Producer commenced its previously announced seven-year contract with Angola Drilling Company, Ltd. (ADC). This mobile offshore production system (MOPS) is currently receiving production from four subsea wells at the Canuku Area of Block 3 offshore Angola.

ADC is under contract to Sonangol Pesquisa E Producao, S.A.R.L. (Sonangol P&P) to develop and produce the Canuku Area. The initial phase of development is complete, with first oil occurring only seven months after project authorization. This phase included reservoir evaluation and the drilling, completion, and subsea tieback of four wells. The subsea tiebacks were planned and executed as a joint effort by ADC and OII. As part of this work scope, Oceaneering provided the umbilicals, connecting hardware, and the subsea tree control system.

Fred Shumaker, Vice President and General Manager MOPS, stated, "With the commencement of this contract, the Ocean Producer begins service on its third West African offshore field development project. Extensive shipyard modifications, life extension, and repairs to this FPSO as required for the contract were recently completed, within budget on schedule. Consequently, we believe the Ocean Producer will continue to perform as a reliable and safe MOPS."
