Pertra Comes Up Dry on Well 15/12-15

Pertra has concluded drilling of exploration well 15/12-15 in production license 038 in the North Sea.

The principal objective of the well was to test a stratigraphic prospect in the Late Jurassic called Villmink. 15/12-15 was drilled at a water depth of 88 m, to a total depth of 3275 m below the sea surface, and concluded in rocks of the Middle Jurassic Age (the Sleipner formation).

No hydrocarbons were encountered in the well, which will now be plugged permanently.

The drilling was carried out by Odfjell's semisub, Deepsea Trym. The licensees in production license 038 are Petoro with 30% and Pertra with 70%.
