ARC Energy Spuds Eremia 3 Appraisal Well

ARC Energy reports that the appraisal well Eremia 3 located in the onshore Perth Basin Production License L1, was spud last week using the Century 11 drilling rig. Since spud, the well has been drilled to 704 meters and 244mm casing has been run and cemented.

The well is being drilled as a deviated well with the surface location adjacent to the Eremia 1 well and the target top Dongara Sandstone intersection approximately 460m southwest of the surface location.

The depth to the prognosed top of the primary objective Dongara Sandstone is approximately 2060 meters measured depth. The proposed total depth of the well is 2120 meters measured depth and it is expected to take 16 days to drill on a pre-completion basis.

Eremia 3 is located approximately 2.5 kilometers northwest of the Hovea Production Facility. The well is designed to appraise the southern extent of the Eremia Field.

Participants in L1 and L2 (excluding the Dongara, Mondarra and Yardarino fields) and Eremia 3 are ARC Energy as operator with 50% and Origin Energy with the remaining 50%.
