CNOOC Begins Production at the Bonan Fields in Bohai Bay

CNOOC reports that the Bonan fields have come on stream successfully, producing about 4,200 barrels of oil and 1.4 million cubic feet of gas from Bozhong 28-1 and Bozhong 26-2.

Bonan fields are located in the southern part of Bohai Bay in 22 meters of water, 100km from Longkou City. Major production facilities include a single point mooring system (SPM), a floating production, storage and offloading facility (FPSO), two wellhead platforms, an onshore terminal and subsea pipelines.

The Company is the operator with a 100% interest in the project.
