Sonoran Energy Establishes Presence in Kazakhstan

Sonoran Energy has signed a representation agreement with a local company in Kazakhstan as a first step to establishing Sonoran Energy's long-term presence in the Caspian region. Together with CSSI Group, Sonoran Energy intends to pursue lucrative oil and gas opportunities in Kazakhstan.

CSSI is a well-established company in Kazakhstan with over 50 employees and an extensive network of high level contacts in the Oil and Gas sector, and within the local government. CSSI will assist Sonoran Energy with its official registration, which will lead to the opening of a Sonoran Energy field office in Kazakhstan.

"Sonoran Energy is targeting the identification of several major oil and gas field acquisitions in Kazakhstan that shall dramatically increase the Company's oil and gas production," said Ala Nuseibeh, Sonoran Energy Executive Vice President, Middle East, North Africa, and Caspian. "Partnering with the right local company is critical to ensure an early success of Sonoran Energy in Kazakhstan."

"The Caspian region represents one of Sonoran Energy's key growth opportunities, "said Peter Ostenfeld-Rosenthal, Sonoran Energy President and CEO. "Securing a working relationship with top local representation is an important first step in our future activities in the region, including our on-going negotiations to secure a production sharing agreement for a large oil field in Kazakhstan."
