Maersk Contractors Norge to Manage FPSO Conversion
Maersk Contractors
Maersk Contractors will support Marathon with design and engineering services and supervise the conversion of the dead-weight 92,500 metric tons "MST Odin", built in 2001. The evaluation of the major contractors and suppliers for the conversion of the vessel will be a joint effort between Marathon and Maersk Contractors.
Upon completion the FPSO will be positioned and installed on the Alvheim Field in the Norwegian North Sea (block 25/4, PL203) located at a water depth of approximately 123 m.
Maersk Contractors has previously supported the conversion of three tankers into harsh environment FPSO's.
