Newfield Exploration Appoints New Land Manager

Newfield Exploration Company has hired Mark Blumenshine as Land Manager. He will be responsible for managing the Company's land activities, as well as initiating business development opportunities for Newfield.

Blumenshine has 20 years of professional and managerial experience with diversified oil and gas companies with domestic operations both onshore and offshore. Prior to joining Newfield, Blumenshine was General Manager of Onshore U.S. Land and Business Development for Dominion Exploration & Production, Inc. Prior to Dominion, he was the Gulf Coast Land Manager for Brigham Exploration Company from 1996-2000. Other professional experience includes Land Manager for Energy Development Corporation (1990-96), Forest Oil Corporation (1989-90) and Amoco Production Company (1981-89).

Blumenshine is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen, the Houston Association of Professional Landmen and the North Houston Association of Professional Landmen. He is also on the board of directors of the Resurrection Lutheran Church. He was graduated from the University of Texas with B.S. degrees in Petroleum Land Management and General Business.
