Baker Energy Wins Work from Anglo-Suisse Offshore Partners

Baker Energy has executed a long-term, multi-million-dollar contract with Anglo-Suisse Offshore Partners, LLC, (ASOP) to operate, maintain and optimize the performance of Anglo-Suisse's oil and gas producing properties located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, offshore Louisiana. This contract took effect on July 29, 2004, with Baker assuming operations on that date. Baker will focus on Production Operations and Maintenance; Production Surveillance; and Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance (HSE&C).

"The Anglo-Suisse opportunity is a culmination of over a year of hard work by both parties to determine the appropriate operations and maintenance contract that will ensure success of this project," Dick Giffhorn, president of Baker Energy, said. "Anglo-Suisse and Baker's commitment to optimizing production, HSE&C and lowering overall production cost was central to development of this relationship."

John Sherwood, chief executive officer of ASOP, said they were very pleased with the contract with Baker Energy. "Baker Energy's experience in operations in the Gulf of Mexico was an important factor in ASOP selecting Baker, and will be important to the success of the development of the fields acquired by ASOP."
