Pryme Group Outlines Plans to Become 'Major Player', Double Headcount
Dundee-headquartered Pryme Group outlines plans to become a 'major player' across the oil and gas sector.

Dundee-headquartered Pryme Group has outlined plans to become a ‘major player’ across the oil and gas sector and revealed its intention to double its headcount by the end of 2020.

Pryme, which provides integrated manufacturing solutions for a range of industries, is targeting significant growth by the end of 2020 through a combination of ‘organic growth and strategic acquisitions’, according to a company statement.

This ‘aggressive’ growth strategy could even see the firm’s turnover more than treble, a company spokesperson said in a statement sent to Rigzone.

Over the period to the end of 2020, Pryme expects to nearly double its headcount from the current level of 240 to over 400. The business is predominantly focused on the UK market, though expansion into Europe and the Middle East is anticipated in the future.

Newly appointed CEO Angus Gray is expected to help drive the development of the business within the oil and gas, defence and aerospace sectors.

“I’m extremely pleased to have been given the responsibility of taking Pryme Group forward through its exciting growth plans,” Gray said in a company statement.

“The new leadership team we have in place here, with wide-ranging experience honed over many years, positions the business perfectly to achieve our objectives over the coming years,” he added.
