EM&I Secures Ensco Services Contract

London-headquartered drilling contractor Ensco has awarded EM&I a Bottom in Water Survey (UWILD) contract for the ENSCO 5004 (mid-water semisub), which is currently drilling offshore Libya.

“I am very pleased that we have secured this first contract with Ensco based on safety, cost and POB benefits,” Graham Cross, EM&I special project director, said in a company statement.

“The initial site survey has been completed and we will now deliver the rest of the scope utilizing a combination of ODIN, NoMan and Rope Access Inspection,” he added.

This is EM&I’s first contract with Ensco and first contract for a semi-submersible rig.
