IKM Secures Johan Sverdrup Services Contract

Oilfield services firm IKM Testing Thailand Co. Ltd has been awarded a service contract by Aibel AS for the Johan Sverdrup drilling platform, located in the Norwegian North Sea.

As part of the contract, IKM will offer the provision of labor, equipment and consumables to carry out onshore works for chemical cleaning and hot oil flushing. This work is scheduled to commence in January over a period of four months.

The platform deck for the Johan Sverdrup drilling platform will comprise three modules. Aibel will build the largest module, the main support frame, at the company's yard in Thailand. Work on combining the three modules will start in the autumn of 2017. The finished platform will be handed over to Statoil in the second quarter of 2018.
