Aibel Secures Troll C FEED Contract
Oilfield services firm Aibel has secured a contract for a FEED (front end engineering design) study for the installation of a new gas module on the Troll C platform, located offshore Norway.
The work includes the project planning, building and installation of the module, as well as associated work on the platform. Work on the FEED study will begin immediately and is due to be completed in May 2017. Up to 40 employees will be engaged on the project during the FEED phase.
“The Troll C assignment is very important to us and demonstrates our strong and improved competitiveness in what is still a challenging market,” Aibel EVP for Modifications and Yard Services, Bjørn Tollefsen said.
“This assignment will demonstrate our strengths when it comes to jobs that combine expertise at modification and the building of new modules,” he added.
