Kremlin Denies Media Report Putin Offered Lukoil A Stake In Rosneft

MOSCOW, Nov 17 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin did not offer the head of Russia's second biggest oil producer Lukoil the opportunity to acquire a stake in Rosneft as part of a planned privatisation deal, a Kremlin spokesman said on Thursday.

Russian business daily Vedomosti cited a source earlier this month as saying Putin had offered Lukoil's Chief Executive Officer Vagit Alekperov the opportunity to take part in Rosneft's privatisation.
