Fasan-1 Exploration Well Completed

As operator for the companies in License 13/98, EDC (Denmark) Inc, a subsidiary of Noble Energy has in co-operation with DONG E&P A/S drilled the Fasan-1 (5505/9-3) exploration well approx. 20 km east of the Tyra field in the North Sea. The well was drilled with the jackup ENSCO 71.

The well was spudded May 22, 2004 in approximately 45 meters of water.

Fasan-1 was drilled as a vertical well and reached a total depth of 3761 meters below mean sea level in layers of Upper Jurassic age. The well only partly confirmed the geological model, and no more than minor oil and gas shows were encountered.
