VOG Appoints New CEO
Victoria Oil & Gas plc announced Thursday that Ahmet Dik has been appointed as Group CEO, effective immediately.
Dik is an existing member of the board and preceding his latest appointment held the position of CEO for the company’s wholly owned Cameroon subsidiary, Gaz du Cameroun S.A (GDC). He has been “instrumental in developing both the VOG and GDC businesses,” according to a company statement, presiding over significant growths in gas sales, the securing of a local debt instrument and the design and planning phase of the 2016 drilling program.
“Ahmet’s appointment as Group CEO follows a sustained period of operational delivery from the company, as we build a substantial gas business in Cameroon,” said Victoria Oil & Gas Chairman Kevin Foo in a company statement.
“Ahmet has been instrumental in that growth over the last three years and now he will lead us as we expand further in Cameroon and elsewhere within Africa,” he added.
“I am delighted with my appointment as VOG CEO as our company moves into the next growth phase,” said Dik in a company release.
