Datum360 Delivers BP Services Contract
Global engineering information management specialist Datum360 announced Wednesday that it has deployed software that will standardize engineering information for the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Guneshli (ACG) project, as part of a services contract secured from BP.
As part of its contract, Datum360 deployed its Software as a Service (SaaS) solution in order to standardize engineering information for ACG, which is the largest oilfield project in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian basin. Datum360 implemented its standard engineering data warehouse - PIM360 - which created a central point for collecting the information, and as such has increased the BP’s operational efficiency through eliminating the use of multiple software tools. The company delivered its off-the-shelf solution in one week.
Farah Mizrajanova, Azerbaijan developments project information manager at BP, commented in a company statement:
“We required a user friendly and consistent solution to bringing engineering information together and Datum360’s engineering data warehouse PIM360 does exactly that. We now have one centralized approach to collecting data, which means, as a result, we have significantly increased our operational efficiency, saving us both time and money.
Steve Wilson, co-founder and CEO at Datum360, said in a company release:
“We are extremely pleased to have delivered our SaaS in such a short space of time. Within our sectors, companies such as ours are notoriously known to have lengthy implementation from pilot stages - in some cases with implementation spanning from months into years - leaving owner operators with spiralling costs.”
