Hayward Tyler Wins Supply Contract from SPP Pumps

Hayward Tyler announced that they were recently awarded the order to supply seawater lift motors along with SPP's GH06 and GH20 pumps for the CNOOC's Chunxiao offshore development in the Xihu Trough of the East China Sea. SPP Pumps were initially awarded the contract and chose the Hayward Tyler motor to accompany the SPP Pump ends. The value of deal for Hayward Tyler, for six submersible motors in nickel aluminum bronze, is reported to be over quarter of a million pounds sterling.

Hayward Tyler won the contract as a result of their ability to satisfy the customer requirement for highly technical and high integrity products that perform in demanding operational conditions. The order reward continues to strengthen the relationship established when SPP and Hayward Tyler were both members of the Sterling Group of companies.

The Hayward Tyler motors were supplied to drive three different sized seawater lift pumps. This is the first of 3 projects planned by CNOOC and its partners. SPP Pumps negotiated with the end user, CNOOC, in China with the support of Hayward Tyler.
