Transerv Finds Strong Gas Shows at Warro-6 Well in WA's Warro Field
Transerv Energy Ltd. announced Monday that Warro-6 well at the Warro gas field in Western Australia commenced drilling in the 8.5 inch hole Oct. 30 and is currently drilling ahead at 14,393 feet (4,387 meters) rotary table (RT).
Warro-6 has encountered strong gas shows in a number of sandstone units below 13,606 feet (4,147 meters) RT and continues to experience significant, elevated gas readings in the sands to its present depth 14,393 feet (4,387 meters) which is 230 feet (70 meters) below the lowest known gas in previous Warro wells.
A full report on the well results will be provided once Warro-6 has reached total depth and the electric logs have been interpreted.
Warro-6 is being drilled vertically to a planned total depth of approximately 14,764 feet (4,500 meters) RT. The well is located 1.7 miles (2.7 kilometers) to the north of Warro-5 and 1 mile (1.7 kilometers) WSW of Warro 3 and 4. Warro-6 is located in a flank position on the western side of the field.
