Transerv Spuds Warro-6 Well in Warro Gas Field in Western Australia

Transerv Energy Ltd. disclosed Tuesday that Warro-6 well spud Sunday, Oct. 11 and is currently drilling ahead in 17.5 inch hole at 4,281 feet (1,305 meters) rotary table (RT). The spud of the well at the Warro gas field in Western Australia was later than anticipated due to mechanical issues during the rig move and set up.

Warro-6 is being drilled as a vertical well and is expected to reach a planned total depth of 14,107 feet (4,300 meters) RT in approximately 25 days. Warro-5 was drilled to 14,508 feet (4,422 meters) RT but did not penetrate the entire Warro reservoir section. Therefore, Warro-6 may be deepened to approximately 14,764 feet (4,500 meters) RT depending on the well results and timing.

Warro-6 is located 1.61 miles (2.6 kilometers) to the north of Warro-5 and 1.05 miles (1.7 kilometers) west south west (WSW) of Warro 3 and 4. Like Warro-5, the location of Warro-6 was chosen using the Warro 3D data to avoid and deep seating faulting.
