Harkand Appoints General Manager for Africa
Oilfield engineering services firm Harkand announced Thursday that it has appointed Doug Fieldgate as its general manager for Africa.
Harkand said that Doug has 23 years' experience in the African oil and gas market. He will be based in Harkand's North America and Africa operations headquarters in Houston.
Harkand Chief Executive John Reed commented in a company statement:
"Our strategic expansion into Africa will strengthen our ability to respond to the needs of our clients. Doug's in-depth knowledge of the region and our successful collaboration with our local partners will ensure we achieve this goal in the various countries with a coordinated resilience."
Harkand provides offshore vessels, ROVs, diving, survey services, project management and engineering to the oil and gas and renewables industries. Headquartered in London Harkand has operations bases in Aberdeen, Houston, Mexico, Nigeria, and Ghana.
