Statoil Awards Wood Group Peregrino Field Contract

Wood Group reported Friday that Statoil has awarded it a contract to provide operations and maintenance for two wellhead platforms at the Peregrino field as well as modification services for both units and the Peregrino floating production, storage and offloading facility (FPSO) in Brazil.

Wood Group said that, under the four-year contract, it will deliver offshore services and all production processes and equipment, except drilling services. The contract introduces a new operating model for the field; for the first time Statoil is bundling these services into one single contract in order to boost integration and simplify the contract management.

Pål Eitrheim, a Statoil senior vice president and Brazil country manager, commented in a company statement:

"We have decided to group these contracts in line with our corporate strategy of simplification, cost optimisation and production efficiency. We have been working closely with Wood Group in the Peregrino field and we look forward to strengthening our partnership over the next four years."

Wood Group has been operating the two wellhead platforms since 2009 and has supported the Peregrino project throughout its development.

Wood Group PSN President for the Americas John Glithero added:

"This contract win builds on Wood Group's 20-year relationship with Statoil globally and demonstrates the wide breadth of services and capabilities offered across our business.

"We look forward to continuing our long–term relationship with Statoil in Brazil and to delivering simple, cost-effective and efficient solutions to maximize the productivity of the Peregrino field."
