Great Eastern Energy Appoints New CEO
India-focused gas production and exploration company Great Eastern Energy Corporation Limited has appointed Prashant Modi to its board as the company’s managing director and chief executive officer.
Modi was previously the president and chief operating officer of Great Eastern Energy Corporation Limited. He will assume the responsibilities of his new role on September 22, 2015. The company’s previous chief executive officer, Yogendra Kumar Modi, will become the executive chairman of Great Eastern.
Rana Talwar, independent director and chairman of the nomination and remuneration committee of Great Eastern commented in a company statement:
"We are delighted to announce Prashant's appointment which bears testimony to the hard work, commitment, and achievements in driving through operational excellence within Great Eastern Energy Corporation."
