Statoil Finds Oil, Gas near Gina Krog Field in the North Sea
Norway's Statoil has made a small oil and gas discovery near the Gina Krog field in the North Sea, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate reported Wednesday.
Statoil, operator of the Gina Krog Unit, has completed the drilling of wildcat well 15/6-13 and appraisal wells 15/6-13A and 15/6-13B with the wells encountered oil and gas.
The wells were drilled some 150 miles west of Stavanger and directly northeast of the Gina Krog field.
