SeaZip Wins Partnership Deal with Heerema Marine Contractors
Dutch maritime logistics firm SeaZip Offshore Service announced Tuesday that it has been awarded a partnership agreement with Heerema Marine Contractors.
Heerema – which transports, installs and dismantles offshore oil and gas installations – has contracted SeaZip's service vessel SeaZip 4 for project activities in the North Sea during the next few months. SeaZip 4 is a Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 vessel, and is the fourth such vessel in SeaZip's fleet. She is one of the first "twin axe bow" service vessels to be deployed in the offshore oil and gas industry, according to SeaZip.
Designed for the transport of passengers and small freight, SeaZip 4 is providing logistics services for the Thialf crane vessel and other Heerema vessels.
"This first assignment fits well with our ambition to add value to the innovative offshore energy industry with the help of excellent vessels and management services," SeaZip Managing Director Jan Reier Arends said in a company statement.
