Indonesia to Fill Top Posts in Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources Soon

Among those involved in graft included Jero Wacik, a former energy and mineral resources minister, who is now being tried for his alleged involvement in corruption at the ministry. In April 2014, the court found former Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) chief Rudi Rubiandini guilty of corruption and sentenced him to seven years in prison and fined him $15,300 (IDR 200 million).

The open selection process is also part of Sudirman Said's promise to improve the integrity of officials holding top posts in Indonesia's Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry after the disclosure of a series of embarassing corruption scandals.
