Heerema Hartlepool Finalizes the BP Clair Modules
Heerema
The 4,500 ton Drilling Modules & Derrick for the BP Clair Field West of the Shetland Islands is nearing completion at Heerema Hartlepool's Fabrication Yard.
Load out and seafastening is expected to commence on June 19th and sail away to the BP Clair field thereafter, for installation around July 1, 2004.
The Clair phase 1 development involves recovery of oil and gas from the central area of the field. It is estimated that this first phase development will produce recoverable reserves of 250 million barrels.
The associated plateau production is expected to be 60 thousand barrels of oil per day and 15 million cubic feet of gas per day. The development will comprise a single steel jacket and associated topside and integrated drilling facilities.
Heerema congratulates their workforce and subcontractors for their excellent performances to date. The drilling modules are of outstanding quality and Heerema is proud of their safety performance record and involvement in this prestigious project.
Heerema Hartlepool Ltd. is a member of the Heerema Fabrication Group. The company is part of the Heerema Group with activities in the worldwide oil and gas and infrastructure markets.
