Greatship's Unit Takes Delivery of Jackup Greatship Chaaru from Lamprell

Greatship Global Energy Services Pte. Ltd., a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of India-based The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited has taken delivery Tuesday of a mobile offshore self-elevating drilling jackup, Le Tourneau Super 116 (E) – Greatdrill Chaaru (350' ILC) from Lamprell Energy Ltd., United Arab Emirates.

Greatdrill Chaaru is an independent leg cantilever type jackup with 15,000 PSI pressure rating, designed to operate in water depths of up to 350 feet. She is a state of the art rig, built with the latest technology, equipments and systems.

With the delivery of Greatdrill Chaaru, GIL and its subsidiaries currently own and operate five platform support vessels, nine anchor handling tug supply vessels, two multi-purpose supply and support vessels, six remotely-operated vehicles support vessels and four jackups.
