Det Norske Achieves 4Q Increase in Production
Norway-focused independent producer Det norske oljeselskap reported Wednesday that it achieved a 6.8-percent quarter-on-quarter increase in its net production to 62,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the three months to December 31, 2014.
A 4Q production update showed that the Det norske-operated Alvheim field significantly improved its production compared to the previous quarter, delivering a 13-percent increase to 42,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Its Volund field also improved production to 11,100 boepd – a 2.8-percent increase.
Det norske's two other operated fields – Vilje and Jette – both experienced production declines, while the non-operated Atla, Varg and Jotun Unit also saw a decrease in production volumes.
