Hoidi Bags Rig Leg Fabrication Contract from CMHI for 2 Bestford's Jackups

Hoidi International Pte Ltd., a Singapore-based jackup leg specialist, reported Monday that its production division, Tianjin Hoidi Group Co. Ltd., has won work for the Rig Leg Fabrication & Construction of Two Additional Bestford Offshore Pte Ltd. Gusto MSC CJ46-X100-D from China Merchant Heavy Industries (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. (CMHI), who will be constructing the rigs in Mazhou Island, Shenzhen, China. This units are TBN (to be named), and will go by Bestford 5 & 6 project title for now.

The 18th order for the company since 2013 has propelled Hoidi to become the top manufacturer by volume in the world for welded Rack & Scales.

The scope of the work consist of the fabrication, installation, erection, extension & construction of a complete set of legs for the two jackups. These two Gusto MSC CJ46-X100-D-type drilling platforms, in addition to the current four Bestford rigs under construction in CMHI, is used mainly for the offshore oil and gas exploration & production jobs. Also, these CJ46 units can operate in water depths up to 350 feet, which can be lengthened to 375 feet & drill at a depth of 30,000 feet. The delivery of these units are expected mainly in 2016.
