MCG's Nordic Bahari to Commence 2D Seismic Survey Offshore Indonesia
Norway's MultiClient Geophysical ASA (MCG) reported that the firm will acquire two new multi-client 2D seismic surveys in Indonesia. The Lombok survey is located North East of Bali and total 1,118 miles (1,800 kilometers) and the East Sulawesi survey total 621 miles (1,000 kilometers).
The surveys are expected to commence during first half of December and will be acquired by the vessel Nordic Bahari. The surveys will take approximately 60 days to complete. Both surveys are strongly supported by industry funding, and MCG is actively working to secure prefunding for a third project within the same region.
MCG is an international marine seismic data provider, specializing in 2D multiclient offshore seismic surveys offered to oil and gas industry worldwide. The firm focuses on core activities in the seismic value chain which is identification of prospective offshore areas for new surveys, project design, marketing and sale of seismic data. Data acquisition and data processing are outsourced to third parties.
