DNO Appoints Regtien as its New COO
Norwegian oil and gas firm DNO announced Tuesday that it has appointed Jeroen Regtien to serve as Chief Operating Officer from January 1, 2015.
Regtien comes to the firm from Royal Dutch Shell, where over a career lasting almost 30 years he acquired international exploration and production experience, including in the Middle East. His most-recent position was as Country Chairman and Managing Director for Shell Egypt, which he held between 2008 and 2011.
DNO is focused on operations in the Middle East and North Africa, and Regtien will be based in Dubai.
DNO Executive Chairman Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani said in a company statement Tuesday:
"We are very pleased to welcome Jeroen to our executive management team. His deep knowledge of technology and his track record of delivering operational performance across the oil and gas value chain will help reinforce our position as a cost-effective, innovative operator in the Middle East and North Africa."
