Carrizo Oil & Gas Logs Pay at West Coffee Prospect
Carrizo Oil & Gas
Carrizo Oil & Gas reports that the LL&E #1 well in the Company's West
Coffee Bay Prospect, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana has reached total depth.
Logs indicate an additional 30 feet of apparent net pay, in addition to the
40 feet previously announced for a total of 70 feet of apparent net pay in the
Coffee Bay sand. Deepening operations resulted in another 16 feet of sand
below the Coffee Bay sand. This deeper sand will be tested first to see if it
is commercial.
S.P. Johnson IV, Carrizo's President and Chief Executive Officer commented that, "the additional footage discovered in the Coffee Bay sand makes the LL&E #1 well an even more significant onshore Gulf Coast discovery, especially with Carrizo's larger retained working interest."
Carrizo is the operator of the LL&E #1 well and owns a 47 percent working interest.
