Northern Petroleum Rings Management Changes

UK-based junior explorer Northern Petroleum announced Thursday management changes that sees its current exploration and technical director retire and the addition of a new chief operating officer.

Northern said that Exploration and Technical Director Graham Heard will retire from the company and step down from its board at the end of the year. Meanwhile, Paul Lafferty joins the company as COO later in September from the exploration and production division of E.ON, where he held the role of general manager of operations.

Northern CEO Keith Bush commented in a company statement:

"Paul's recruitment has significantly strengthened our production and operations expertise in line with our strategic direction of production led growth. I welcome him to the company and look forward to working with him to build a significant production base in the future."
