Stochastic Simulation Appoints Leo Mullins as Managing Director
Australia's Stochastic Simulation announced Thursday the appointment of Leo Mullins as its new Managing Director.
The change in leadership follows the departure of Graham Griffiths who had fulfilled the role of CEO since 2012. Griffiths departs having successfully completed his 2-year, Commercialization Australia supported, mission to transform Stochastic from its development phase into a commercial organization.
Mullins had previously been serving as Stochastic's chief financial officer, a role that he will continue to fulfil. He is trained as a chartered accountant and has held senior management and board positions in a number of companies. He also has significant experience in founding and developing start-ups and has previously set-up a successful oil and gas consultancy firm.
Mullins commented, "On behalf of the team at Stochastic Simulation I would like to thank Graham for his time at the company. He worked tirelessly through a period of substantial change and has built a fantastic team, who have the skills and drive to take us to the next level. His immense experience and knowledge have been invaluable to us through this period. I look forward to continuing to build on the foundations that Graham has put in place.
"There have been many significant highlights and milestones for Stochastic Simulation during his time at the helm, particularly the commercial releases of ResAssure and GasAssure but also including a refresh of the company logo, establishment of a consistent product branding strategy which is becoming recognized throughout the industry and the implementation of corporate processes and best practice throughout the company."
Mullins will continue to expand the company globally through both its existing international sales channel partner arrangements in Malaysia and Oman, and new partnerships currently under consideration in strategic areas globally.
This continued expansion in products and consulting services will be supported by expanding the existing team which has already grown significantly over the past 24 months. Recent team additions include Jools Spon-Smith, (Service Delivery Manager), Rubakumar Sankararaj (Petroleum Engineer) and Farnoosh Mirzaee (Petroleum Engineer), who are all working very hard to meet and exploit the growing demands on the company's services.
