Egdon Appoints Alkane CEO as Non-Exec Director
UK junior explorer Egdon Resources announced Friday that it has appointed Alkane Energy CEO Neil O'Brien as a non-executive director to its board.
A chartered accountant with more than 20 years' management experience, O'Brien has served as CEO at Alkane since November 2008.
Egdon Chairman Philip Stephens commented in a company statement:
"On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Neil O'Brien as a non-executive director of Egdon. Neil brings a wealth of valuable experience to the Company, particularly in the UK energy sector. We all look forward to working with him as we continue to grow the business."
Both Alkane Energy and Egdon are focused on onshore oil and gas exploration and development. Egdon holds interests in 37 licenses in the UK and France, and is approved as an operator in both countries.
