NOC: Libya Cuts Production at El-Feel Oilfield to 50,000-60,000 Bpd

TRIPOLI, March 23 (Reuters) – Libya has cut production at the southwesterly el-Feel oilfield to between 50,000 and 60,000 barrels a day from 80,000 due to a pipeline problem, the state-run National Oil Corp (NOC) said on Sunday.

Engineers closed a pipeline valve after pressure had built up too strongly, NOC spokesman Mohammed El Harari said. The cause of the problem was unclear.

El-Feel, which has a capacity to pump 130,000 bpd, is operated by Mellitah – a joint venture between NOC and Italy's Eni.
