Libyan Premier Underscores Importance of Eni
MILAN, March 7 (Reuters) – The Libyan prime minister Ali Zidan has confirmed the importance of Italian oil and gas group Eni in the country, Eni said on Friday.
The comments came in a meeting between Zidan and Eni Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni, the company said in a statement.
"Zidan reiterated the importance of Eni's historical presence in Libya," Eni said.
State-controlled Eni is the biggest foreign oil producer in Libya, but unrest in the country has led to serious disruptions in its production there.
