EnQuest Completes Greater Kittiwake Acquisition
North Sea-focused EnQuest reported Monday that it has completed its acquisition of several Great Kittiwake Area assets on the UK Continental Shelf from Centrica.
The deal, agreed on October 22, 2013, sees EnQuest take over Centrica's 50-percent interest in the Kittiwake, Mallard, Gadwall, Goosander and Grouse fields, as well as Centrica’s 100-percent interest in the Kittiwake-to-Forties oil export piperline.
The transaction is estimated to boost EnQuest's proved and probable reserves by 4.7 million barrels of oil equivalent as well as adding production of around 2,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
