Premier Makes Two NED Appointments
UK independent Premier Oil has made two new appointments to its board, it reported Friday. Anne Marie Cannon and David Bamford will join the board as non-executive directors from February 1 and May 1 respectively.
Cannon has more than 30 years' experience in the energy and banking sectors, including roles at Shell UK, J. Henry Schroder Wagg and British Borneo. Since 2000 she has been a senior advisor to Morgan Stanley's natural resources team, focusing on upstream mergers and acquisitions. She is currently deputy chair of the board at Det Norske Oljeselskap.
Bamford has spent 23 years at BP in a variety of technical and exploration roles, including Chief Geophysicist, General Manager for West Africa and Vice President for Exploration. He has also served as senior independent director on the board of Tullow Oil since 2004.
Premier Chairman Mike Welton commented in a company statement:
