Marathon Oil Appoints Deanna Jones Vice President of Human Resources
Marathon Oil Corporation (MRO) announced Monday that the Company's board of directors has elected Deanna L. Jones vice president of Human Resources and Administrative Services, effective Jan. 27. Jones succeeds Robert L. Sovine who retired from Marathon Oil on Jan. 1, after 33 years of service.
Jones, 45, most recently served as vice president of Human Resources and chief commercial officer for Newfield Exploration Co in Houston. Prior to that, she held a number of senior management positions with Schlumberger from 1993 until 2010 in that company's Houston, London and Calgary offices.
"We are very pleased to welcome Deanna to the Marathon Oil leadership team and look forward to the contributions she will make in leading the many dimensions of our Company's human resource activities," said Lee M.
